Pyruvate is a substance the body produces naturally as a result of metabolising glucose and carbohydrates obtained with food. Pyruvate gets into the mitochondria where it creates energy. Pyruvate occurs in large amounts as pyrogrape acid in red apples, red wine, and some types of cheese. This should be one of the most important reasons to the positive effect of apples. Pyruvate is required as fuel for the citric acid cycle where ATP (muscle energy) is produced.
Usage: Take it before exercise or as a daily supplement the diet for the best effect. Mix 1 scoop about 5g in 2 cups of water or juice.
